HDFC bank received a Certificate of Recycling from Eco Spindles, a prominent plastic recycler, in recognition of the efforts in plastic waste collection and recycling through the banks bin network in the year 2024. This certificate stands as a testament to the banks contribution to environmental sustainability and its role in promoting responsible waste management.

Since October 2022, HDFC has partnered with Eco Spindles to facilitate responsible plastic waste disposal. As part of this initiative, dedicated recycling bins have been placed at selected bank branches and public locations, allowing customers to dispose of recyclable waste plastics. The collected plastic is then sorted and processed into high-quality raw materials, including filaments and yarn, contributing to a more sustainable circular economy.
