Commemorating the World Habitat day designated by UN – HABITAT a walk has been organized by HDFC Bank on 4th October 2010 from HDFC Bank head office to Galle Face Green.
The objective is to develop the awareness on this years Habitat Day theme "Better City, Better Life" and importance of protecting the environment among the general public. This was also contributing to the bank’s policy framework of promoting sustainable housing and living and to be actively involved in the Government’s effort of achieving Millennium Development Goals on Environmental Sustainability. Simulteneously this ensures that every employee of HDFC understands the imnprtance of incorporating environmental considerration in their daily business activities. |

HDFC Bank Chairperson Mrs. Siromi Wickramasinghe , CEO /GM Mr. Suresh Amerasekera , DGM Mr. S. Dissanayaka ,AGM Mr. D.V.Pathirana ,school children and Officers of UN Habitat office in Colombo were also participated in this walk. |
