A beach cleanup initiative was organized and successfully held at Wellawatte beach with active participation of Chairman, GM/CEO and other staff, emphasizing the bank’s leadership commitment to environmental action and community engagement.

UNITED NATION’S SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (UN SDGS)

Centered on reducing inequality and poverty alleviation, the SDGs are a blueprint in creating a sustainable and equitable world. With 17 interlinked goals that form the SDGs, the focus is on the sustainable development of people and the planet. As a financial intermediary, we too carry a responsibility towards adopting the framework in contributing towards an equitable and inclusive planet. With our focus on poverty alleviation, we will continue our commitment to providing sustainable and affordable financial solutions to the country’s financially underserved individuals and communities.

A tree planting campaign was conducted at Wataraka Primary School, where students and staff actively participated in tree planting, followed by an engaging seminar on environmental protection and sustainability.

This initiative served both environmental and educational purposes, inculcating a sense of responsibility towards nature from an early age.

Students of Crist King College, Pannipitiya took part in a tree-planting program followed by an awareness session on environmental protection. This was organized to encourage them to take an active role in protecting the environment.
